About Rest Tables
Rest tables for NBA, NHL and NFL teams show a teams record and point difference based on how many days of rest they have had, where the previous game has been played (home or on the road) and where the current game will be played.
In MLB the rest tables show a team's record in the first game of a new series. It would be pointless to do this for every game. In baseball if a team
has 2 days off and has to travel from home to road, they will probably lose. As of April 21, 2010 team's are 1-9 when they have 2 days rest and travel from home to road, and 1-5 when they travel from road to road on 2 days rest, but they are 8-1 when the come home on 2 days rest.
The following is a rest table for the Los Angeles Lakers (from April 21, 2010)
It shows the Lakers' record and point difference based on how many days of rest they have had, where the previous game was played and where the next game will be played.

About this table
For example, this table shows that the Lakers record in back to back games is 13 wins and 7 losses for a winning percentage of 65% and a point difference of 2.1.
The Lakers record after 2 days rest is 29-14 and if the Lakers' last game was at home and the
next game will be on the road after 2 days rest, then in that situation their record is 2-2 with a point difference of -2.1. This is in the "Home to Road" column. Over all when the Lakers go from their home to the road their record is 8-8. Most NBA teams do not like going from home to road. On the other hand the Lakers record when they come off
a road trip is 14-2, generally NBA teams love to come home and win.
